Bath salt helps in relaxing the body. It draws all toxins from your body thereby cleaning your internal system and your skin. They are generally dry in nature which is soaked in hot water. Some herbs, dried flower oil and other essential oils are mixed in this salt to add some extra benefits and aroma to it. Epsom, Dead Sea, Hawaiian, Himalayan salts are few examples of soaking salt.

Scrubbing salt

They are fine in structure because they are rubbed on skin so cannot be harsh. It is not very dry so that it can be easily applied on skin. Since it is directly rubbed on skin, some moisturizing oils are mixed to it. For example, olive oil, avocado oil etc. this helps in keeping the skin moisturized.

Here is the best way of using bath salt –

  • Before entering the tub filled with warm water and soaked bath salt, it is necessary to drink a glass of water to avoid dehydration.
  • Enter tub and relax for few minutes avoid doing any other work while relaxing so that the combination of lukewarm water and salt can work efficiently.
  • In case you’re using scrub salt then take a shower and apply your choice of soap on your body. Once the cleaning process is done, take a handful of bath salt and rub gently all over your body and wash it off.
  • After enjoying your bath, dry your skin with a towel and apply any moisturized body lotion to keep your skin soft and tender.
